Root & Rise serves two functions: educate about food systems and sustainability (root!) and empower people to grow their own food and connect with the Earth (rise!). We all eat, but we don't always appreciate where that food comes from.

The food systems education courses will be coming soon, as well as more garden courses. For now, learn how to create a thriving apartment garden, schedule 1-on-1 garden coaching, or check out my free downloadable guides!

Apartment Gardening is a great course! Makes the entire process less overwhelming than how I have felt in the past when looking for information on my own. I love how in depth it was and feel more confident after working through it.

Get creative with your growing setup

Ever wondered how you can grow a lot in a small space? Hanging shoe organizers are perfect for growing greens, herbs, and even strawberries and edible flowers!

Create a balcony homestead

If you have a balcony, turn it into an intensively planted homestead and grow squash, tomatoes, greens, flowers and more!

Grow herbs indoors

Fresh herbs are amazing, and can be grown under a grow light or near a sunny window! Save space with a setup like this, or line them up on your windowsill.

I love how thorough this is and that you included personal stories and described scientific principles in an accessible way. My hurdle to seeding was not knowing when/not even knowing how to start a plan and I think this makes it really accessible to just fill in the timing. This is amazing and you got me super excited to garden and try new things!!
